Why do I have to download a free version of Microsoft Silverlight 4 when choosing a template?
Our Online Designer runs with this free program, Microsoft Silverlight 4. Simply click "yes" when prompted to download when entering our Designer for the first time. DO NOT upload Silverlight 5 as we are not programmed for this version at this time.

How much are the syndications and how can I use them?
Syndications are $3.00 each and can be used only if you use our templates through our Designer. Simply choose which sydication you'd like from the Designer menu to the left of the page and upload into your template. The charge will show up in your cart automatically.

What size is my newspaper?
Each page of your newspaper is considered 11 inches wide and 14 inches high, though the final printed product after quarter-folding is 7" by 11.5". The final printable image size of each page is 10 inches wide by 13 inches high. Your pdf’s must meet these requirements if you are uploading your own pdf's from your own publishing program. Our Designer calculates this for you automatically. You must send your pdf’s in one file, and each page must be separately 11 inches wide and 14 inches high. The ink is environmentally friendly soy ink and the paper is recycled.

How fast will I get my newspapers?
That depends on your option for shipping, though normally our printing is finished within 5 working days. Options will show up on your order form.

What pages are color with Partial Color Pricing?
Partial Color Newspapers means FULL color on certain pages and through our automated published pricing is as follows:
4 Page: pages 1 and 4 are color (the balance of pages are printed in black only)
8 Page: pages 1, 4, 5, 8 are color
12 Page: pages 1, 6, 7, 12 are color
16 Page: pages 1, 8, 9, 16 are color
Any choices outside of these parameters would be a Custom Order or a Full Color order.

Are these newspapers printed on different paper than normal newspapers?
No. All our newspapers are printed on newsprint with Web-Press industrial printing presses, like any local or national newspaper is printed.

Does it matter what program I use to create my newspaper or if there is color in the original program?
Using our Designer and Templates takes most of the burden from you. Any accidental color images on black and white portions will be automatically printed as black and white, though we recommend you use black and white images for optimal clarity for black and white printing.
Any color images are best produced with CMYK coloring before uploading to your template, though all color images will print regardless of source. Also, on documents outside of our Designer, use 100% black for font coloring (100% K).

How large a PDF file can I upload to order my newspaper?
The maximum size of file you can upload at this time is 80 MB. If you have a larger file and want to order a newspaper, please contact us and we'll help you place your order. Also, be aware than images large than 15 MB cannot be uploaded into our Designer.
